Each school and the district as a whole have Emergency Operation Plans that have been set forward with town officials. In the event of a lockdown, Cider Mill School administration will be receiving information directly from state and/or city officials. No person will be allowed in or out of the school without authorization. Therefore, the best action for parents, in the event of a lockdown, is to remain at home to await instructions. Please do not drive to the school in an effort to pick up your child or phone the school for instructions. The area around the school should remain clear for emergency vehicles, if needed. Phone lines need to remain open. As soon as information is available, administration will activate School Messenger. Please realize that, in an event of a lock down your child is in a safe place.
