Welcome to our new year at Cider Mill 2024-25!  For those of you that are returning students, welcome back!

For those interested in continuing strings this year, look out for an invitational meeting during the first week of school, you can take home a simple enrollment form to be completed with your family.  The year will look familiar to you all, but will most likely be on a different day, and we will continue to grow together.

For 4th and 5th grade students that are joining us and learning a stringed instrument for the first time (violin, viola, cello, bass), please join us for the same invitational meeting.  There will be a simple enrollment form that you can take home to be completed with your family along with vital program information.  You will have your very own orchestra and classes.  Mrs. Karlan will be meeting with you on Friday.

For 3rd graders,  Mrs. Karlan will give demonstrations during the first week of school of the different stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello).  Following these, students that are excited at the prospect of playing this year should take a paper enrollment form home with them.  It will include vital information on our program too.

For those of you that are planning ahead for this year,

+5th grade students that are continuing this year will all meet on Tuesdays.

+4th grade students that are continuing this year, from Cannondale and Nod Hill will all meet on Wednesdays.

+4th grade students that are continuing this year, from Belden Hill and Kent will all meet on Thursdays.

+First year 4th grade and 5th grade string students will all have classes on Fridays.

+3rd grade students will have classes on Tuesdays/Wednesdays TBD.

In the interim, please feel free to email Mrs. Karlan (karlank@wiltonps.org) or Mr. Hayashi (hayashik@wiltonps.org) with any questions.

We very much look forward to sharing the joy of playing stringed instruments and making music together.
