“In a world where you can be anything, be kind”

Jennifer Dukes Lee, author

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope the summer was refreshing and invigorating for all our Middlebrook families. It has been wonderful to experience the energy and excitement once again as students filled our hallways and classrooms.  Our staff was thrilled to meet our new students and to welcome back our returning students. It is a pure joy to actually see the smiling faces of your precious children and inspiring to hear about their summer adventures and their goals for the new year.  While we recognize COVID restrictions are significantly different now, we continue to encourage our Middlebrook community to follow safe and healthy practices to continue our culture of care.  Our ongoing commitment to create a safe and supportive environment for students is paramount to students' success as they navigate the challenging and rigorous curriculum of Middlebrook School.

Parent Coffee Series

We plan to once again host our parent coffee discussions/presentations.  In our continued Home-School partnership, we welcome your input on topics you would be interested in or would like to discuss.  Please take a moment to fill out this one question survey to suggest topics for the meetings.  The survey will remain open through September 9, 2022. Once we create the calendar of events, we will share the topics, dates, and times in a future Friday letter.

MAP Testing - 9/7-9/12/22

All students will participate in MAP testing next week. Students will take the Reading test on Wednesday, 9/7 and the Math test on Friday. 9/9/22.  9/8 and 9/12 will be reserved for students to complete or make up testing. On testing days (9/7 and 9/9) we will run special schedules.  Students will still go to both of their STRIDE periods, but the rest of the day will be reserved for team activities.  As an added bonus, we will have our first “No Homework Night” on September 7.  The best preparation for MAP testing is for students to get a good night’s sleep and to eat a healthy breakfast.
