Town Wide Cleanup - Volunteers Needed

The Town of Wilton’s Annual Town Wide Cleanup Day, sponsored by the Wilton Conservation Commission, is Saturday, May 21, 2022, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Wilton Conservation Commission is looking for volunteers to join us for our 2022 Townwide Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m. to 12p.m. at the Town Green.  Every year hard working volunteers of all ages join together to pick up litter along Wilton’s roadways and the banks of the Norwalk River.

Work gloves, garbage bags and dumpsters will be provided by the Wilton Conservation Commission and available at the gazebo starting at 9 a.m.  Volunteers will pick up their supplies, spread out around town to pick up litter and meet back at the gazebo at noon.

This year’s event has several generous donors who will be providing raffle prizes for some lucky participants! Wilton Hardware and Wilton Kiwanis have both donated to the raffle. Prizes include gift certificates to local businesses including: Wilton Deli, Wilton Hardware, Scoops, Orem’s Diner, and many more! To be eligible to enter the raffle volunteers must collect a full garbage bag of litter and bring it to the town green for disposal. The raffle will be drawn promptly at noon on May 21, 2022 and you must be present to win. As well, Pinocchio Pizza will be providing each volunteer with a coupon for one free slice of cheese pizza for helping out!

We hope to see you there, rain or shine!!

Mike Conklin, Director of Environmental Affairs, Town of Wilton
