WHS Debate Team Wins State Championship

On March 25, the Wilton High School debate team attended the CT Debate Association (CDA) State Championship at Stamford High School and was able to collect more than 25% of the awards that were granted. 

In the novice division, Courtney Allen earned the 2nd place speaker award and the teams of Varish Duriseti and Ahaan Sharma, along with Diya Nair and Lilah Gettler, both placed in the top five. 

In the varsity division, Shawn Gregory received the 5th place speaker award and his partner, Sid Suneja, received the 3rd place speaker award.

It gets even better – the team of Shawn Gregory and Sid Suneja won 1st place and took home the gold in the varsity State Championship final!
