Middlebrook students recognized at Scholastic Art Awards

The Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards have chosen four works of art from three Middlebrook students as 2019 winners.

 

Jamie Parrotta (pictured above) was awarded two Gold Keys in photography for her two entries entitled 'Find The Emo' and 'Lights, Camera, Action!'

Amanda Prather was awarded a Silver Key in photography for her entry 'High In The Sky'.

Riya Shah was awarded a Silver Key in Printmaking for her work 'My Olive Branch'.

The 2019 Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards exhibition features select work from schools throughout Connecticut in grades 7- 12. From approximately 3000 total art entries, 787 works were accepted for exhibition at the University of Hartford. Gold Key winners will move forward to be evaluated for inclusion in national exhibition which will be held in New York City in June.
